MORALITY, ETHICS, AND USE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR APPROPRIATENESS IN PRESENTING INFORMATION

Abstract

The aim of this article is to study and analyze the morality and ethics of using information technology to present information appropriately. The results of the analysis revealed that reporters through information technology must have the following moralities and ethics; 1) the reporters must be ashamed to enter false information in accordance with what the Lord Buddha taught in terms of having a compassionate mind to present information; 2) the reporters must be fear of the consequences of creating false information in accordance with what the Lord Buddha taught in terms of being moral; 3) the reporters must be conscious, not mindless until doing the wrong action in accordance with what the Lord Buddha taught in terms of persevering in the higher mentality; and 4) the reporters must be aware at all times and understand the facts of the information in accordance with what the Lord Buddha taught in terms of not having bad speech and not hurting anyone.
