An Analytical Study of Nyaya Philosophy

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore the origins of Nyaya philosophy, its significance, the scriptures associated with it, its epistemological framework, and methods of analysis within Nyaya philosophy. In summary, according to Nyaya philosophy, valid knowledge is contingent upon the ongoing experience. The truth must be accessible through perception, experience, and inference. Nyaya philosophy subscribes to perceptual knowledge, employing reasoned knowledge derived from perception through the five senses, along with experience and inference. This process constitutes the Nyaya philosophical pursuit of knowledge.
